I started sewing when I was very young by learning first from my mom and then my grandmother. I went from sewing and crocheting doll clothes at age 8 to making my own clothes in my early teens. From there I apprenticed with an accomplished dressmaker at a bridal shop. I love making and creating beautiful things. I now live in Beverly Hills, Fl with my husband. I have 2 daughters.
Doris Brinkman is married, has four children, eight grandchildren, and many others she counts as her own. She retired after 30 years with Sprint.

Kathiann is a licensed Martha Pullen instructor. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA with her first payment plan at the age of 13 was for her Featherweight. She has taught at the Singer Company and altered bridal gowns throughout college. Kathiann's specialty is heirloom sewing.
I learned to sew as a young child from mom, 4-H and then majored in Home Economics in college. I taught sewing construction as a 4-H Agent during many sewing camps for teens. I now teach classes at Beyond the Stitches, in Crystal River. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of sewing and love to see the creativity of others.
